Overview:
Unionville Outdoor School, a new K-5 school just outside of Helena, MT, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to start August 1, 2024.
As an Elementary School Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds and futures of young students.
This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum
- Provide instruction in various subjects, including math, science, language arts, and social studies
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop educational programs and initiatives
- Utilize learning technology to enhance instruction and engage students
- Incorporate physical education activities into daily lessons to promote health and wellness
- Provide individualized support to students with special needs or learning challenges
- Foster a love of reading and literacy through storytelling, reading aloud, and guided reading activities
- Encourage creativity through art projects, writing exercises, and hands-on learning experiences
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification/license
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in education
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Proficient in proofreading and writing skills
- Familiarity with learning technology tools and platforms
- Experience in special education or tutoring is a plus
