Preschool Director

*Director of Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church Preschool* Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Helena, Montana, is seeking an experienced and dynamic person to lead our established preschool.
The Preschool Director will have an active Christian faith life and be able to model joy, empathy, kindness, and integrity.
The Director will possess strong leadership and administrative skills, budgeting experience, and the ability to lead, supervise, support and develop staff to their fullest.
The Director will work with parents as partners in their child’s education, seeking their perspective and support.
Our Redeemer’s Preschool is a ministry of Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church.
We believe each child is unique and precious - a child of God.
Allowing children to experience the joy of learning through both play-based and instructional methods, our ultimate goal is to prepare them for continued success in their education, and in their lives.
Established in 1999, the preschool is staffed by experienced teachers, most of whom hold degrees in education and are devoted to positive early childhood learning including opportunities for each child’s individual growth.

_ *Desired Minimum Qualifications * * Administrative experience, including managing a budget effectively.
* Knowledge of early childhood development principles and developmentally appropriate educational practices.
* Classroom teaching experience preferred.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with adults and children.
* Ability to create a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for children.
* Ability to collaborate and communicate with teachers, support staff, parents, and students in a positive and constructive way.
* Ability to plan, manage, and evaluate curriculum and staff.
* A commitment to the Christian faith, with a love of Christ and a desire to share that love with children and their families.
* Bachelor’s degree in a child or education-related field.
A combination of experience and education will be considered.
